Job Description
Responsible for inspecting and troubleshooting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately in order to repair, maintain and/or upgrade as needed.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
- Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.
- Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise car owners on good vehicle use and practice.
- Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks, engine, etc.)
- Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job.
- Keep logs on work and issues
- Clean and organize work area, including equipment, tools and spare parts.
- Complete tasks within given timeframe without compromise of quality
- This job operates in a workshop setting. This role routinely uses standard shop equipment and tools.
- This is largely an active role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift parts, tools and operate basic workshop equipment.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience.
- Automotive industry experience is a plus.
