Job Description

Support the team to achieve company objectives to support external sales teams and customers. Assist in oversee the team of sales support engineers to in order to support external sales teams and customers. Related to sales operations in day-to-day transactions.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Recommend improvements to departmental policy and support in the implementation of procedures and controls
  • Ensure proper implementation and control of group policies and procedures
  • Ensure excellent customer service satisfaction i.e. timely submission of goods and services to customers
  • Interact with customers on the operational level
  • Compile list of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from ad inquiries, trade shows, direct mail responses, business directories, websites, and other sources
  • Plan and implement specific action, in coordination with the Branch Manager, to develop customer relationships, improve customer service, and produce profitable sales
  • Identify customer sales potential, credit risks, and other important facts or impressions. Report this information to Branch Manager on regular basis
  • Make outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services
  • Handle inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales. Provide coverage of all assigned customers and develop additional sales in the total geographic territory and market segments assignment
  • Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on inputs of manufacturer production and delivery schedules
  • Develop a team working relationship with all employees. Continually improve product knowledge and selling skills through independent study and training provided by TME
  • Build and maintain customer’s relationships and negotiate favorable pricing, credit, and delivery terms with
  • approved suppliers
  • Prepare reports of business transactions. Enter new customer data, motors prices and other sales data for current customers into computer database
  • Prepare quotation to customer according to Company policy. Follow up with customer for all outstanding quotation and get purchase order
  • Complete all document formalities for a delivered PO to initiate invoicing, assist and follow up on payment from customers
  • Make reports and proposals to TME management that improve TME overall performance, limit impending problems or losses, and expose unethical behavior
  • Report results and unusual situations to Sales Manager
  • Procure the materials/services needed from vendors, plan execution of customer orders, monitors the progress of TME POs with vendors
  • Process and send the POs to the vendor and ensure acknowledgments are available
  • Prepare item code in the system, set terms of delivery and process the purchase order for end to end approval from all stakeholders
  • Coordinate with supplier to ensure on time delivery, ensure terms and conditions are in-line with pre-agreed commercial terms
  • Liaise with finance department to ensure advance payments, bank guarantees/LCs are met on time and with logistics team to provide shipping status report for all standard purchase orders
  • Coordinate with vendors for fabrication/manufacturing, transportation, and clearance of shipment to the warehouse
  • Create and process the delivery documents and material transportation to customer facility along with the invoice
  • Issue delivery notes and arrange customer orders for delivery. Receive customer receipts in coordination with the logistics/warehouse/accounts
  • Ensure data accuracy of item code, pricing, delivery date from customer and supplier for reporting purposes
  • Monitor the progress of open orders and follow up with the vendors for timely deliveries
  • Track and follow up with the receivables and coordinate for payments with outside sales, customer finance and TME finance to update the records
  • Efficient Sales order management for smooth implementation of ISO 9000 Procedures
  • Perform other job related projects and/or assignments that he/she might be asked to do by his/her direct supervisor/manager for special assistance that are often not mentioned in this job description as they arise under specific circumstances

Desired Experience:

  • 3 years of experience
  • Manufacturing of motor products experience is preferred
