Job Description
Responsible for assembling pieces of metal or repairing damage in components using heavy machinery that emits high heat, melting the metals into shape.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Recommend improvements to departmental policy and support in the implementation of procedures and controls
- Compliance with all Company policies is required, including adherence to company ISO 9001 standard and compliance with company Affirmative Action and Company Safety Procedures
- Incorporate the Standards of Excellence as outlined by TME (Pride, Desire, Teamwork, Attention to Detail and Follow-through) into daily activities in order to create a Total Quality environment
- Follow the safety codes to prevent any risk occurred during work
- Check and clarify the working sheets and confirm the scope of work
- Carry out ARC, TIG and MIG weld with the materials of rolled steel, aluminum and stainless steel
- Clarify various weld form symbols and notations on blue prints
- Select the adaptable welding rods, materials and carryout weld to the drawings
- Grind off and clean up the welding zone if necessary
- Ensure good application in both vertical and horizontal strokes
- Prepare the required spacers and wedges for welding
- Clean up and check the dimensions to meet the requirements
- Set up the welding machine properly
- Fulfil the required heat treatment after welding to release the stress properly
- Perform other job-related projects and/or assignments that he/she might be asked to do by his/her direct supervisor/manager for special assistance that are often not mentioned in this job description as they arise under specific circumstances
Desired Experience:
- 3 years of experience
- Manufacturing of motor products experience is preferred
