Job Description
The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for keeping records of all stock available inside the warehouse and premises and compile accuracy reports and audit results. Ensure Stocks are accurate and compliant to storage policies and procedures.
Responsibilities & Duties
– Monitor activities on stock and locations, analyzing these activities and deriving logistics decisions
– Perform regular slotting (SKU or item allocation to physical location) and re-slotting activities for forward pick areas and reserve locations, optimizing SKU locations to increase the overall warehouse operations performance, particularly picking
– Contribute towards policies and procedures for cycle counting stock based on specific customer requirements and ensure they are performed in a timely manner without interrupting other activities in the warehouse
– Manage the process of relocating stock within the facility, either as part of a slotting exercise, for maintenance, locating and identifying lost stock and displaced items
– Verify inventory accuracy by comparing physical stock to system stock, investigating discrepancies and adjusting errors
– Act as a Hotline for Inventory Control Issues
– Assist in plan, schedule, monitor, reconcile and report physical inventories at all locations on daily basis. All warehouses will take minimum a physical inventory annually
– Work closely with warehouse management and Logistics to correct/prevent loss.
– Monitor Risky Sub-Inventories to ensure timely receipt and close.
– Review Inventory parameters and ensure the right safety and maximum stock is set.
– Ensure that inventory records are reconciled for a complete and accurate count.
– Ensure inventory discrepancies get Analyzed and corrected
– Collaborate with supply and demand planning, purchasing, and CS teams for optimum efficiency of inventory.
– Identify areas of improvement in his/her subordinates and ensure their continuous growth
– Coach and provide formal and informal positive constructive feedback to ensure that work is carried in an efficient manner
– Recommend training needs to bridge staff skill gap
– Ensure the implementation and full compliance to training, communication and awareness programs and procedure.
– Communicate timely audit reports and ensure of tracking audit’s actions and closure as planned
– Execute projects in alignment with Starlinks QSSE standards and local legislation
– Ensure that people development plans are met in QSSE areas
– To implement, sustain and participate in the continual improvement of the QSSE Management System (MS) at area of responsibility in accordance with the legislations, Starlinks QSSE management systems and relevant QSSE standards, ensuring proper controls for all hazards and risks
– Report incidents related to quality, Safety and Security to QSSE department on timely manner and in accordance with the incident reporting and investigation procedure
– Ensure products recall are conducted in accordance with local regulation and Starlinks QSSE standards
